The Federal Government, led by the minister of Youth and Employment, Sen. Dr. Chris Ngige, is idealistic that the some days old strike left upon by ASUU will be canceled at latest the end of the week, to empower students continue classes by next week from now.
This idea was because of the Agreement by the Federal Government to discharge about N35bn out of the earned stipend, and to oblige installment of administration setback in the system.
With this activity, the Federal Government is idealistic that a positive response will be gotten from ASUU on Thursday, along these lines empowering students continue by end of the week.
The President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, after the gathering on 7th January, had expressed that he would reclaim the proposition by the Federal Government, to the ASUU individuals, and that is the point at which the choice to either cancel the strike or to proceed will, be made.
In spite of the fact that Federal government expects ASUU to give a positive feedback on Thursday, 10th January, no explicit date was declared by the ASUU President on when a gathering with other ASUU individuals will be held.
